Second Brain Clinical Psychology

I am a HCPC registered and practicing NHS Clinical Psychologist with expertise in PTSD, complex trauma, and the intersection between gastrointestinal problems and wellbeing.

I currently lead an adult gastroenterology psychology service at a leading teaching hospital in London and work in the fields of Neurogastroenterology and Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD).

I offer individual evidence-based and integrative therapy, tailored to your individual needs.

Therapeutic Approach

Trauma-informed

I have 10 years of experience of working as an NHS psychologist. My wish and hope is to make therapies accessible and give people positive experiences of a helping relationship.

I currently specialise in adult gastroenterology psychology, including functional somatic symptoms and IBD. My previous roles have been in a specialist London NHS service with people with complex anxiety, depression, and trauma, and in an adult mental health team delivering longer-term therapy to adults with enduring psychological struggles.

I draw together my experience, theory and practice to deliver trauma-informed care, and I use trauma-focused therapies for those wishing to work on reclaiming their life after trauma.

Ethical

I prioritise collaboration and patient choice and consider wider determinants of mental health struggles as part of a holistic approach to wellbeing. My approach involves supporting people to reduce the potential shame and self-blame that can accompany seeking help and increasing a sense of safety between client and therapist in order to make best use of the therapeutic space together.
